VR/AR Simulations for Surgeons
Marion Surgical is changing how surgeons train and learn.
Using virtual- and augmented-reality (AR/VR), along with haptic feedback, this company has created a realistic, interactive virtual-training environment for minimally-invasive and robotic surgery. This approach not only enhances the learning experience, but it also improves patient outcomes by sharpening surgeons’ skills.
Notably, Marion was just awarded a Phase 1 contract to bring its patented technology to the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). Every year, the DoD spends roughly fourteen billion dollars on synthetic-digital training for personnel, opening the door for Marion to generate substantial revenues.
